ISOZYMES, ENZYMES IN CLINICAL DIAGNOSIS

Q.        What are Isozymes?

Ans:    Isozymes are different molecular forms of enzymes that
may be isolated from the same or different tissues.


Q. Write down any of two enzymes which are helpful in clinical diagnosis?

Ans:    (i) Alkaline phosphate helping in diagnosis of liver
disease.
(ii) Acid phosphatase helping in diagnosis of prostate cancer.

(Hi) Creatine kinase is used in diagnosis of heart attacks.
